Rub Al Khali. The Empty Quarter in Arabic. The biggest expanse of sand dunes in the world, covering part of Saudi Arabia and stretching into UAE, Oman and the Yemen. So dry and inhospitable that the only humans who live here are a few bedouins. And yet, as with all deserts, it is such a place of vast majesty, stillness, silence, surprises and infinite beauty.
