Born in Guildford, UK, Anne studied photography at West Surrey College of Art and Design, intent on combining her two passions, travel and photography. 30 years on, she is still doing just that.

After a year on the road travelling in North and Central America she worked in London for the photographic magazine YOU AND YOUR CAMERA, before moving to Paris, where her career as a free-lance photojournalist was launched with a spread in PARIS-MATCH. She continued to work for photographic magazines, writing and photographing and interviewing well known photographers, and at the same time started travelling the world for various English, French, Swiss and Italian magazines and book publishers. Her work took her to Italy, where she eventually moved in 1987, and where she currently lives in the beautiful area of Monferrato, one of Italy’s best-kept secrets, in Piedmont.

Over the years she has collaborated with a great variety of magazines and book publishers all over the world, working on assignment almost entirely on location, in the areas of travel, reportage, food, hospitality and interiors (see published).

She has published four books, dedicated to France (The French Selection – BBC/Pan Books), Sicily and the minor islands (Maimone Editore), Campania ( Naples region) and Liguria (both published by White Star). This last volume won the Anthia Literary Prize in 1999. She has also had various exhibitions in Italy and the UK.
